Claw Grip or Crosshanded Grip for the Yips

Again, this is like the previous idea of changing putters. It may work for a little while, but its not the long term solution.

By changing how you grip the putter, if may initially force you to focus on other things, and you may take your mind off the fear and past failures. After all, you haven’t had any failures with this particular grip. So there’s no negative association there.

But if you don’t address the underlying fear that always tends to show up, then no putting grip will help you.Eventually, you’ll build up the same negative fearful association to that cross handed grip or the claw grip.

Remember, curing the yips is about building new associations, not changing your techniques.
